RE/MAX presents the 9th annual Artists for Conservation Festival - a three-day art and environmental education festival, featuring a world-class conservation themed art exhibit and sale with leading international, guest lectures, live painting demos, birds of prey, music and cultural performances.

AFC Festival 2020 will be held at VanDusen Botanical Garden from Oct 1 - 4, 2020, with special preview programming at Maplewood Conservancy in North Vancouver on September 19-20. Due to COVID-19, the usual opening evening reception has been cancelled.

All dates and program schedule are subject to change due to COVID-19.

The Artists for Conservation Juried International Exhibit and events will be held at the VanDusen Botanical Garden from Oct 1-4, 2020.

Admission to the AFC Festival exhibit and indoor programs is FREE of charge. Due to COVID, attendance will be limited at all venues. To ensure access to garden programming at VanDusen, please visit their website for advanced ticket purchases. Admission tickets may not be available for on-site purchasing.

Pacific Coast Portriats Exhibit

Festival Preview at Maplewood Conservancy - Corrigan Nature House (Free admission)

Art exhibit and sale in partnership with Wild Bird Trust. 25 artworks by local AFC artists will be featured. The exhibit aims to celebrate bird life and biodiversity in the region and to inform viewers about local bird species and their habitats.

William Nahanee of Squamish Nation will perform a welcome/blessing ceremony at 11am on Saturday.

Art demos on both days by local AFC artists James Harry, Xwalacktun, Vicky Earle, Denis Mayer Jr., Ken Nash, and Joyce Trygg.

Live music  on Saturday - Shakuhachi Flute player Alcvin Ryūzen Ramos and violist Thomas RL Beckman. Guitarist John Gilliat on Sunday. 

Birds of Prey from OWL Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society.
